Here we will be tying the fly Dýrbítur, a legendary fly by an Icelandic fly tying and fly fishing legend, Sigurður Pálsson. This version of the Dýrbítur is an excellent option for spring fishing for sea-run trout. The fly is a great option for both stream and lake fishing. A black version of the Dýrbítur is favoured by many many anglers here in Iceland. Totally worth to tie and to try.

Author: Sigurður Pálsson.
Hook: Ahrex NS118 #8
Thread: Semperfli Nano Silk 50D black.
Bead: 3,8mm Pink Tungsten.
Lead wrap: 0,7mm Semperfli lead-free wire + Zap A gap.
Tail: Black marabou + 2 pearl flash strands on each side.
Body: ½ silver chenille - ½ Semperfli straggle legs black.
Legs: UV Green/Black silicon rubber legs as shown in the video.
Collar: Black Schlappen with long fibers as shown in video.
Head: Semperfli Classic Waxed 8/0 fluorescent orange + UV Solarez Bone Cure.
