Front End Loader Caddis

While fishing during practice for the 2013 World Fly Fishing Championships in Norway, I encountered fish taking dries in flat water but also found I needed to hold up a heavy tungsten dropper. To get a caddis dry that floated flush with the water but held up a nymph well, I added a stacked hackle to the front. The Front End Loader Caddis has since become my favorite caddis dry for holding up a dropper while still having the capability of convincing some tougher fish to eat.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
