Be sure to watch the first video, to see Jerry prepare an Ultra Rig for tying this series of flies. Jerry French has a great solution to rigging a trailing hook on shank flies. This system is great to use with Intruders, Ultra Squids, Sculpin patterns and other shank style flies. The Ultra Rig System gives the tier the ability to place the hook behind the fly at any length they desire. The angler also has the option of changing the hook if a different size is preferred or the hook becomes damaged. Ask your local Aqua Flies dealer about the Ultra Rig Kit. The kits are available in six sizes: Round Eye Kits-26mm, 33mm, 51mm Return Eye Kits-27mm, 43mm, 51mm For more info:

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
