Mar Lodge
Classic salmon flies doesn't need to be extremely complicated and projects of many hours behind the vice and use of expensive materials from a forgotten time. In this video we have our skilled friend Håkan Karsnäser behind the vice shoving his skills, tying one of the most famous classic salmon flies The Mar Lodge, originally by the master T.E. Pryce-Tannate. In this version Håkan ties it for the reason it was invented - for fishing and hopefully catching salmon... Happy tying.

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
