Mayfly Wet
This is not a traditional Irish Lough Mayfly pattern as it is dressed in a lighter manner than it’s big wave surfing cousins.
Tofting's CDC Mayfly
The largest mayfly in Scandinavia are the Ephemera Danica and it’s stillwater relative, the E. vulgata. They are the same size, and the Vulgata tend to be a little darker than the Danica.
Woven Ammonite Nymph
This pattern is based on Steve Thornton’s Ammonite nymph dressing, a real favourite amongst many tyers and fly fishers alike.
Brown & Orange Waterpusher
The movement of the fly and the disturbance in the water is the key to trigger predators. A fly that pushes the water is the big effort in flies tied “Buford-style”.
Small GOFI Shrimp
Shrimpflies is just a must-have-in-the-box ... period! Whether it is saltwater or frshwater, shrimpflies just has an attraction on predators that a few other type of baits have.
Brown Bead Stonefly
Even the most fanatical dry fly fisherman must admit that there are often days when nymphs are far superior to the dry flies.
Tan Spey Shrimp
Fishing in shallow water can be tricky, difficult and frustrating... The fly often catches the bottom or snags, but here the solution can be upside down flies.
Craigie´s Killer Variant
The original Craigie´s Killer was designed by Craig McDonald and utilises a full jig body to get down really deep in the river.
Crazy Charlie
The Crazy Charlie is originally a fly for targeting bonefish - developed on Andros Island in 1977 in the Bahamas by local bonefish guide Charlie Smith and popularized by San Francisco angler Bob Na
GG Muddler
US flytyer Gunnar Brammer's nice little Soft Hackle Muddler is the inspiration behind this Grumpy Grizzly Muddler.
A talk with Bob Clouser
An interview with Bob Clouser, takling about his new signature hook with Ahrex Hooks, the SA 210. A hour with Bob Clouser, “that fly” and his life and career in fly fishing.
Easy Piecy Pike Fly
Fishing for pike and other predators has gained a large popularity, and we sure understand why - the take of an agressive pike is breathtaking, and the fish often has a decent size.
Dun Parachute
Dutch tyer Jan De Haas ties his version of a Dun Parachute.
Dry flies have one thing in common – they all float. Some float because they are tied of buoyant materials (foam hoppers for instance), som...
Baltak Squidro
The flies for steelhead fishing often differs from, for example, the Atlantic salmon fly fishing where the materials of the flies are very traditional.
Racoon Spey Edition
Spring is just around the corner, and here in Scandinavians we are looking forward to our beloved coastal fishing no longer means gloves and warm clothes and ice cold water.
Mallard Stickleback
You might know Christian Krogh, at least if you like us are into the seatrouts along the Danish Coast. Christian have been a seatrout hunter for a decade, and he’s well known for his patterns.
Claret Bumble
One of the most iconic of the traditional Irish hackled wet flies must be the Claret Bumble. The Bumble-style of flies are dated back to Derbyshire in the 1500’s and used as a dapping fly.
Rough Hare's Ear Nymph
It is probably the most all-round and iconic nymph there is - and a fly you absolutely must have in your nymph-box when the target is trout or graylings.
Squiggle Worm
Fishing for rainbowtrouts in reservoirs in the cold months can be difficult and requires flies with extra life and movement to be able to trigger the trout.
Grey Fred - Grå Frede
With a few simple materials you can create a lot - and "Grå Frede" is an excellent example of that.
Shottlecock
Mosquitoes is, besides beeing terrible in the bedroom while sleeping, a very important food-source and a must have in the box of dryflies and emergers for every trout-fisherman.
David's Bugger
It does not always have to be complicated to be effective - allmost quite the contrary. One of the most all-round flies has to be the classic Wooly Bugger which has fooled fish all over the world.
GoFi Glimmerreje
Simple and easy-tied fly with a huge number of sea trout on the conscience. The Danish coastal fly fisherman Torben Gosch originally tied the first versions of the original Glimmerreje and the pattern...
CDL Shrimp
When we are talking about shrimp flies for Scandinavian coastal fishing, it is impossible to avoid the popular Pattegris or the Pig.
