Join Peter De Boer and myself for a day fishing a stunning wee farm stream located in the Wellington / Wairarapa region, Lower North Island, New Zealand.
Back country rivers were still running high despite a period of settled weather, so we were forced to seek greener pastures... literally!
The small streams numerous inhabitants hungry to accept any manner of offering in the slightly murky, rain-fed water. It's always a pleasure to fish on stream where there are equal numbers of browns and rainbows... "you never know what you're gonna get"!
The fish were not big, but made up for it in spirited tussles on light gear, punching well above their weight.
