New Zealand 2013: A Dry Fly Short

In early 2013 two anglers ventured to New Zealand with some intrepidation following extensive flooding over the New Year period. In the face of large scale flood damage and doubt they found some spectacular dry fly action. Over the course of two months only a handful of fish were caught on nymphs and streamers, the rest fell to large terrestrials. Fly fishing for trout at its absolute best.
