Even very big trouts still can be tricked by a small fly or a nymph like the one tied in this video. We have put our very own Håkan Karsnäser behind the vise to demonstrate the tying of a small stonefly nymph, which he uses for big trouts in his swedish home-waters. This heavy stonefly nymph are tied with rubberlegs for extra movement, and are inspired from the big nymphs used for the large sea run brown trouts in the rivers of South America. In the big Patagonian rivers, which are famous for their monster sea run browns, a nymph like this one often are able to fool even big trouts in the daytime.
