Here we will be tying the original version of the Peacock by mr. Kolbeinn Grímsson. This video is made after a request from someone who wanted to see the Peacock tied exactly like the author did. Peacock is I think the most used nymph when it comes to fishing in Iceland. It was made by mr. Kolbeinn Grímsson late last century and has been successful ever since. The pattern is imitating a peeping caddis, that's at leas the point of the orange globrite and the peacock hearl in the body is the case. The fly is a great option for both stream and lake fishing and has been tied in many variations like jig, heavy nymph and so on. now. The Peacock catches both brown trout and arctic char. It's simple to tie and popular among new fly tiers to tie and totally worth having few Peacocks in your box when going fishing.
