The Global FlyFisher has recently been updated to a new publishing system, and there may be a few glitches while the last bits get fixed. If you meet anything that doesn't work, please let me know.

Perdigon - Frenchi

No comments yet

Perdigon flies are extremely heavy, boasting a tungsten weighted bead. They are also very smooth being coated by UV resin, so they get down deep very quickly. I find these to be some of the best lead flies to fish. Many times I like to fish a brightly colored "attractor" lead fly, then drop something more natural and unweighted off the back when fishing two flies. That makes this flashy frenchi great for that application. The brightness of the flash dubbing collar on this Frenchi style, mixed with a hot spot really attract the fish, but it also has a more natural quill body that looks like a nymph. Drop a small midge or baetis off the the back, and you have a recipe for an amazing day on the water.

I need to re-fill my perdigon box, so in the next few weeks I will be tying quite a few different styles of these. Stay tuned to watch all of the different perdigon styles I tie. Make sure you are subscribed and hit that bell notification so you won't miss out on any future videos.

Next week I will be tying an extremely easy Perdigon. It is a midge style that can be tied extremely small and will work great anywhere you use flies like zebra midges. So dont forget to subscribe and hit that bell notification in order to get updates on future videos.

If you haven't already please check out my sponsor Risen Fly. They are offering you all a discount so go to www.risenfly.com and type in McFly at checkout for 15% off your first order with them.

Also dont forget to pick up one of my fly boxes. I have both magnetic backed and silicone backed, if these sell well I plan on getting more styles as well and maybe even bringing back the shirts that everyone loved years ago. Check out my amazon store front to pick up the boxes. - www.amazon.com/shops/McFlyAngler

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
