Here we will be tying a simple variant of the Pheasant tail by mr. Fran Sawyer himself! The Pheasant Tail is classic nymph, really effective and probably the most popular nymphs in Icelandic trout fishing among with the Peacock nymph. The fly is a great option for both stream and lake fishing. The fly catches both brown trout and Arctic char. I could write a whole thesis about how effective and good this fly is but I prefer to keep it short. Less is more. :) The PT is a really simple pattern to tie and everybody should have it in the fly box when go fishing!
