The Patriot (Variant)

Here is my version of the classic Charlie Meck fly, The Patriot. This is my go to dry fly for late summertime fishing. I tie this in a size 18 to chase the native trout in some of the local mountain streams. Charlie I believe ties this in a 12 or 14 and puts calf tail wings on it and uses the fly as an indicator by dropping a nymph or wet off of it.
