The Texas Gulf

Seems like every time I go to corpus, I don't catch many fish. There must be a curse because I will only catch when its either too dark to film properly or the camera dies. Seems like I cannot get any reds or specs on camera. Well either way, I had a blast even though I didn't catch many. It was a lot of fun catching up with one of my longest and best friends. I cannot wait to do it again, even if we don't catch.

I was very happy with the performance of the genesis rod and the Gideon reel. Risen fly makes some amazing gear at reasonable prices. I mean that rod is only $100 and I was making good 80+ foot casts with it. And it is even better priced when you type in my discount code. McFly is the code, and whatever you buy on their site will give you 15% off of anything in their shop. Go too www.risenfly.com to check all the stuff they have out.

I was also using Rio's "winter redfish" fly line which is amazing line for (you guessed it) winter time redfish fishing, also pretty much any type of saltwater fishing. Here is a link to where you can purchase it. https://amzn.to/2U670gH

Also I reviewed that line once before, if you wanna watch that review. https://youtu.be/zLkKRuIFuhA

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
