The Usual - Den Vanlige

Tube flies are incredibly popular for salmon and sea trout flies all-over Scandinavia, but are also gaining attention in the rest of the world. The possibility of replacing the hook if it is damaged without the entire fly having to be discarded is one of the great advantages of the tubefly, but also that the hook will seperate from the fly while fighting a fish and the fish cannot use the length of the fly to wriggle free as with an ex . traditional styled tied fly, has made this fly type very effective and popular. The Scandinavian style of tying tube flies with several different wings, lengths and stiffnesses in the different materials as well as the full body is best demonstrated here by the skilled fly tyer and fly fisherman Casper Hansen who in this video shows one of the most popular Swedish salmon flies in recent times , namely Den Vanlige or The Usual, a fly that has countless beautiful catches on the conscience.

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
