Thunder Creek

No comments yet

Baitfish patterns can be super complicated with lots of materials and difficult to tie, but one of the old classics into streamers and baitfish-imitations is the Thunder Creek. Originally created by Keith Fulsher from Eastchester, New York. He came up with the idea of tying bucktail reversed and using it to form the head of the fly. Back in the days the eyes were painted on, and the head was formed by several layers of varnish. Today we have stick-on-eyes and UV-resin, but the reversed bucktail and simplicity of the patterns is still intact. In this video we have swedish tyer Håkan Karsnäser tying his version of the old-time-classic.

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
