Tying Tube Flies: Part 1

No comments yet

Tube flies are becoming more and more popular in fly fishing, and for a variety of species. I knew that it was time to become introduced to this style, and was even more convinced when reading two articles in the April-May 2014 issue of "Fly Fisherman." Those articles, written by Tom Rosenbauer and April Vokey, really broke everything down, plus gave great insight towards the many directions tube flies can be taken. Moving forward, I was hooked, and am now sharing my own thoughts in this series, "Tube Flies."

During Part 1 of this fly tying series, I give a brief overview of my initial thoughts on tube flies, and then examine a starter kit from HMH (which I recommend to those beginning to tie tube flies). I discuss the materials included, and then ask the viewers for feedback related to other materials they have had success with in the "Comments" section of this YouTube page.

Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial, and I encourage you to view my additional videos at the following website: http://www.troutandfeather.com

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
