UV Watson's Fancy pupa

Here we will be tying the fly Watson's Fancy in a large pupa version. But originally Watson's Fancy is a classic wet fly pattern from Scotland by mr. Donald Watson. Tied up as a large pupa this version of the fly has given good results for fishing in Icelandic waters for the Arctic char. Þingvellir national park, Úlfljótsvatn and more lakes are prime spots for the fly, specially in the early season. This is a very simple fly to dress and with or without the UV coating it works just great! I highly recommend it in sizes 10-16.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
