Hook: Gaelic Supreme Mike Martinek Rangeley streamer hook #2 8xl
Thread: White flat waxed nylon
Tag: Silver oval tinsel
Body: Olive floss
Ribbing: Silver oval tinsel
Belly: White bucktail
Underwing: Black rhea and peacock herl
Wing: Olive grizzly hackle flanked by medium dun hackles
Shoulder: Pearl guinea fowl
Eye: Jungle cock nail
Head: Black

Notes: Although I haven't posted many of my own flies over the past few months, you can be rest assured I've been busy at my tying desk cranking out a few for the display case. The Ms. Lowe is a nice smelt imitation I've had good success with during the summer months when fished deep. I use pearl guinea fowl and a bright olive body to give the fly a fairly light appearance. The black rhea and peacock create a nice distinct lateral line when the fly gets wet.

This specimen of the Ms. Lowe streamer along with several other streamers are currently on auction for those wishing to add to their collection. Happy Bidding.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
