I was lucky enough to be invited out into one of the most untouched and beautiful rivers i have seen on New Zealand's North Island.

Fly Fishing the Tongariro river in New Zealand's north island with my dog Nala. caught both rainbow and brown trout on nymphs and dry flies.

2nd trip with Alex in as many days, We headed to one of New Zealand's Best most consistent big fish rivers with hopes of good weather and some sight fishing opportunities.

This was the first day back fly fishing with Alex in months, we hiked in to a popular Taupo river in search of big Browns on the fly rods, We found one!

First fly fishing video of 2020. Headed to the world Famous Tongariro river in search of some brown trout, i did manage to find a couple as well as some beautiful rainbow trout.

Finally got to head out fishing properly with my puppy Nala. She's a Lab x GSP and a beautiful dog.

Last Day of my south island trip and it was an epic day. so many good trout both rainbows and browns caught on nymphs and a lot on dry flies.

Another day in the high country paradise feeding dry flies to rainbow and brown trout in a tiny creek.

Sorry about how disjointed and clunky this video is but I wanted to share it with you as it has two of the biggest fish I have ever seen.

This is the high country trout fishing opening day here in New Zealand.

SO after fishing the canals with no success i headed to the river. Holy crap did i find some fish. Caught my personal best trout on fly from a river twice in a row, all on a 5wt fly rod.

Part 2 of the day with Sean, some really nice fish caught including the brown trout at the end that we worked hard for.

So This is the second trip Sean and i have done, Sean is a very good angler from south africa learning the ropes here in New Zealand.

Yo, so high water bad weather and me being sick has really slowed the opening of the trout fishing season for us down her in New Zealand.

The 2019 Trout fishing season has opened and the weather and rivers were mud. a few days later myself and dustin headed out in search of our first trout on fly rods for the 2019/2020 season.
