Mini Surf Candy
Bob Popovic was the originator of the surf candy. He tied these to mimic sand eels and small baitfish. They still work today many years later and are a staple in many saltwater Fishermans boxes.
Casual Dress
In my book this nymph is in the top 10 list of the most effective trout nymph flies ever created. Some flies are classic, some are beautiful and then some are… well just plain fishy looking.
Blue Shrimp (Variant)
Tying a salmon fly, Blue Shrimp (Variant)

Suggestive Emerger
OK, Lockdown Fly Tying Day whats it all about? I have got together with several other YouTubers to bring you a day of fly tying videos.
Spiral Shrimp
A great looking shrimp that looks complicated but is really easy. With lots of internal structure, just like a natural shrimp, this one looks complicated to tie. It’s not.
Pine Squirrel Leech
Simple yet effective sculpin or leech. Pine squirrel is a great material for making small streamers. One of my favorite flies for fishing trout is the "slump buster" which is similar to this fly.
Blue Dun Soft Hackle
Soft hackle wet flies are some of the most versatile flies on the planet. This is my take on the classic Blue Dun.
Foam Beetle

From Marty Howard and Dec Hogan book "Steelhead fly tying". I ordered the book some weeks ago and received it last week.
Fly Line Pupa
Recycling an old fly line to catch fish again. Running short of fly tying materials? Got and old worn out fly line? Use the thin part at the back of the line to tie this easy caddis pupa pattern.
Gold Tag Peacock
Hanak H200 BL in size # 12. Wet in the classic version.
Surprisingly Large Trout!
Fishing Pristine Private Mountain Stream. So excited to be fishing in this stream again. This Tiny mountain stream is a real gem and i'm so lucky to be able to fish it!
Griffiths Gnat
Griffiths Gnats are a classic pattern that is very simple to tie and also very effective. These only require two materials besides the thread and hooks. That is dry fly hackle, and peacock herl.
Polar Shrimp
Most fish loves shrimps! This is my slightly speyish version of the classic steelhead and salmon fly The Polar Shrimp.
Barr's Viz-A-Dun
John Barr's Viz-A-Dun is a great little mayfly pattern that is durable, floats well and makes a great indicator style dry fly for hanging a small emerger or micro dry behind.
Sand Fly
This sand fly imitation is one of two that are listed in John Reid's Clyde Style flies. It's a great fly for early to mid season fishing and well worth having in your box.
Creeper Shrimp
A shrimp fly for saltwater sea trout. Materials Used; Thread, Uni White, 8/0 or 6/0 Hook, Saltwater Shrimp Feelers, White Bucktail and Micro Krystal Pearl Flash Hackle, Salmon Pink or Coral
Pink Speyfish

Olive Cicada
A great looking and meaty terrestrial imitating a cicada. Could go for a hopper too. Materials Used; Hook, Fulling Mill FM5130 Jig Force Long size 8 Thread, Uni-6/0 Yellow Body, Dyed Yellow Roe Deer
The Breath
The Breath is an emerger of bigger mayfly which is made of an owl feather. Owl's feather is super soft with lot of micro barbules that "breathe" in water and suggest life.
Baloon Caddis
Balloon caddis is now a classic pattern by Roman Moser. It represents a low riding caddis fly. I am sure fish can see it as an adult, cripple, dead....it all depends on the situation.
