The Grunter is a bit of a beast of a dry fly. This is a great fly to use for early season Brown Trout on the river or when fishing a sedge hatch during the summer on the Stillwaters around the UK. It also works great as a dry fly when used in "heavy water" when smaller more subtle patterns won't stand out. It is a fairly unconventional fly but is definitely worth having in both your river and Stillwater box.
