Hybrid Carp Fly

John Montana's hybrid is one of the best carp flies out there. There are lot's of copycat patterns, but none of them are any better than the original. It's incredibly versatile very effective in a range of water types from muddy still waters to freestone rivers, it's a straightforward tie and just catches fish.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
