When researching some dry fly patterns for my trip to Montana a few years ago, I came across this pattern that would double as a mayfly or caddis emerger. This pattern was originated by Craig Matthews out of the Blue Ribbon Flies Shop in West Yellowstone. I have been more willing to try more cripple patterns since I have fished this one.
