Mike Schmidt of Angler's Choice Flies in Florida is a professional fly-tyer and long time streamer addict. His flies together with a handful other fly tyers patterns has definitely set the standard of modern, articulated streamers. Easy to tie, a minimum of materials and steps to make tying of them both fast and cost effective without loosing the overall appearance of the fly.
Here you can see Mike tie a Mini Viking Midge, a smaller version of his highly successful pattern Viking Midge. The pattern can be tied in a variety of colors and is a real go to pattern when fish aren’t willing to hunt down a big meal.
