A soft hackle north country spider pattern called the Orl Fly or Alder Fly. This traditional north country spider flydressing is found in the 1870 manuscript of Pak Inman from Barden in Wharfedale.

Rib: Fine Gold Wire (Veniards No.27)
Hackle: Snipe over-covert
Head: Peacock Herl
