Making poppers is just about as fun as fly tying gets for me. I mean - heck - I hardly fish for bass anymore, but I still get a huge kick from making these amazing and colorful flies. This past winter I got to fiddle with a cheap-o air brush and had a blast mixing colors and coming up with schemes for these flies. It's just a great way to pass the winter, even if the flies might not ever see water.
