In my years since i was little,i have been blessed with my dad introducing me to fishing and hunting and throu the years enjoyed the seniors who share the same sport and thaugh me so much and to sit with them by the fire sipping tea and maybe a little extra in the tea,i always wanted to see or do something special for them ,since dad is 84 this year and will be fly fishing for atlantic salmon with me and is anxious for this .i would love to see and read more stories about dads and kids for fathers day because alot of us wouldnt fly fish if it wasnt for our dads who took us and showed us how to,for me Dad is the best fly i can have with me when fishing together ,even when we dont catch anything watching others sitting on the bank ,laughing and listning to his stories and especially when another guy his age show up and they talk wow i sit there and listen like a kid in a candy store.your site is so great for me and shared with others thank u.

Nice. I have one on my desk that I tied and caught a seven pound brookie on in Labrador with my friend Joe Sterling. It brought back many happy memories.

Mike these and all your flies have always been an inspiration to me.

The streamers are just beautiful and tied by a master craftsman.

Hi Eunan;
After our e-mail exchange yesterday about the International Fly Tying Symposium, I thought of your Sidewinder streamer today and checked it out. Beautiful creativity and work here. Very nice!

David,

Exactly my fear. Not knowing the value will most likely just stamp the books as "old books" and they will be trashed rather than sold or "recycled" through a book dealer.

Great patters, going up to the limestone lochs in durness,in a couple of weeks, vice bamboozld with ideas!!!!!!love it.

Mike, this whole article is simply outrageous. The whole thing is a jaw dropper. The flies are so outstanding that I can barely contain myself. You outdid yourself on these beauties. I see your handwriting all over these flies. Impeccable tying, beautiful color combinations....10+ for me on all of them.

I tried to tie the big orange as showed but didn't have the right material but came as close as I could, I used it for sea run in Cape Breton. I was amazed on how well it worked. I will get the right material for the next run.

Hi Mickey, Haven't seen you for a while your friend. Jimmy Newton Doug Chickering has also
lost track of you !!!!!!!

Theo,

First of all: I don't expect Davie to see your comment. We feature his videos, but we have no contact with him and don't expect him to reply to questions here.

Secondly, if you search, you will find tonnes of online stores that sell Wapsi and very likely lots that will mail to Belgium (in the UK, Netherlands and France for instance) You can also contact Wapsi by email and inquire about a Belgian dealer.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
