This shrimp pattern is a fly from danish flyfisher, flytyer and owner of the danish shop Nordic Anglers Daniel D. Holm. Daniel needed a base shrimp-pattern that could be adapted to be fished for his beloved sea run brown trouts - as well as bonefish and other warmwater species. It needed to be fairly simple and have the correct profile. A very important thing was the boar brizzles that gives the fly the right movement in the water. The color can vary a lot, but it is important to add a few materials containing some UV-materials. Daniel says about the fly “It just works - it just preforms and outfishes a lot of other patterns that I know”.
