Jim Burchette resides in Tennessee spending his days fishing, tying flies, building rods, writing fly tying tutorials.
Jim retired in 2012 as an analytical specialist from Duke University Health System Clinical Laboratories in Durham North Carolina.
His area of expertise for over forty years was histotechnology, with a strong focus on immunohistochemistry applications in diagnostic surgical pathology.
However, fly fishing has been a lifelong passion. Jim now resides in Tennessee spending his days fishing, tying flies, building rods, writing fly tying tutorials, gardening, and tending his beehives.
