Martin Westbeek
Tying has become as much a passion for Dutch Martin Westbeek as fishing, and Martin is a regular tyer at shows and fairs in Holland, Germany, Denmark and Britain, and also tied in the USA.
Martin Westbeek is a marketing communications lecturer living in Holland. He has fished since age 12, but took a break in the seventies, got back into the swing in the eighties, wondering why he ever took that break in the first place, and determined to make up for lost time.
His home water is the typical Dutch lowland "polder" Wilnis, but what Martin likes best is fishing for trout in streams or lakes, in fresh and saltwater. Tying has become as much a passion for him as fishing, and Martin is a regular tyer at shows and fairs in Holland, Germany, Denmark and Britain, and also tied in the USA.
Loves: the best quality hackle, his LAW vise, tying technique
Pet peeves: good stuff going out of fashion, having to resort to reading glasses, gas and hook prices

Since you got this far …
… I have a small favor to ask.
Long story short
Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
