Roddy was a one-time commercial fly tyer, but now prefers the slower lane, only occasionally filling special orders. Recent projects have included tying some 16 patterns for Paul Marriner's new book, Modern Atlantic Salmon Flies. He also co-authored an upcoming article with Paul Mariner on the earliest salmon flies used in Canada, appearing soon in the Atlantic Salmon Journal.
Nowadays he's enjoying the early run of salmon on his favorite river, and still spending nights in the back of his car!
