Mike is the owner of Badger Creek Fly Tying and is a member of the Catskill Fly Tyer's Guild, Catskill Fly Fishing Center, Trout Unlimited and serves as the Vice President of Conservation for the Northeastern Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers. His articles have appeared in Fly Tyer, The Fisher, Fly Fishing and Fly Tying Journal, Eastern Fly Fishing, Soutwestern Fly Fishing, Mid Atlantic Fly Fishing plus numerous other club magazines and newsletters.
Mike has been fly fishing for about 20 years or so. His original fly fishing and fly tying mentor was Ed Powell (of the famous Powell Rod Clan). He can often be found at region and national fly fishing shows selling fly tying materials, tools, hackle and fly tackle. He is based in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York , and is an avid fly fisher for just about anything that swims.
