The Delores River
This is probably one of the more beautiful rivers I have ever fished. It is early in the year, so the trout aren't really feeding to vigorously.
Squishy Head Bluegill
A while back I created a fly that I called "the fat head squishy streamer". This was a perch color pattern and shape.
Fat Head Minnow
This material is awesome to work with. Its a new blend of material made form Fly Tiers Dungeon called "Arctic Wind" and I love it. Lots of flash, and very shiny.
Snow Day
So, the weather was miserable, and cold. We fished all morning in the snow without seeing the sun. Finally the sun came out, and we actually got a fish.
Double Tail Leech
I've always seen black streamers as leech patterns, however many of them are narrow and tall or just plain fat all the way around.
Trout on the 1st cast of the day!
Ok so, literally on the first cast, I hooked a fish and landed him. He wasn't huge, but still a great start to a day.
Calf Tail Crazy Charlie
This fly is supposed to mimic a shrimp, however its a bit abstract. Its more about forcing a strike based on the movement and instinct rather than just visual cues.
McFly Angler - Episode 8
This was a very fun day on the San Juan river fishing with some friends. A subscriber of mine had seen me at the pub a few weeks prior to this, and we talked about fishing for a while.
Bull Dub Leech
I have caught a few good fish on this fly since I started tying it a few months ago. Its a leech pattern that moves really nicely in the water.
San Juan and one Big Brown
Well this video was a few months in the making. On my 2nd episode I met Joe out on the river. We were both fishing the San Juan River and struck up a conversation.
Slump Buster
Appropriately named the "slump buster" is really a buster of slumps. This fly is so easy to tie, yet so effective! You can tie up 10-20 in an hour, and is effective for so many species of fish.
Wild Brown Trout in Colorado
One of the last free-flowing rivers in the state of Colorado, the Animas River is a unique and rare treasure.
Flash Back Hairs Ear Nymph
So I didnt do so well on this one.. When filming, I have to tie with my arms stretched out and far away from the vise so I don't get in the way of the camera.
Animas River in Durango, CO
One of the last free-flowing rivers in the state of Colorado, the Animas River is a unique and rare treasure.
Two bit Hooker
These are quite popular mayfly (baetis) patterns because they sink quickly due to the two beads. Where I was fishing on the Animas, the water was very murky, and I had to get deep to reach them.
Winter Fly Fishing The Animas River
One of the last free-flowing rivers in the state of Colorado, the Animas River is a unique and rare treasure.
Small Glass Minnow Transparent Baitfish Streamer
Glass minnows are small, see through fish that are a food source for many predatory fish. These flies are see through, but I add a few things on the hook shank to mimic the insides of small fry or gl...
Fat Head Squishy Streamer - American Shad
As the last two Fat Head Squishy Streamers moved well in the water, this one will also. They are great for doing a sort of walk the dog action, and a semi suspending nature.
Finally Landed a Trout on the San Juan River!
If you haven't ever fly fished the quality waters on the San Juan River in New Mexico, you are missing out. Trout are everywhere, and its difficult not to hook a few.
Turkey Streamer Fly
I shot a turkey this season, and I plucked all the feathers and used them for this fly. Its an awesome little streamer with lots of movement. Great for trout on a stream or river.
Flashy Bugger
Wooly buggers are probably one of the most popular and versatile flies anywhere you fish. From California to Colorado to New York, and not just USA, but other countries as well.
Episode 2 - Fly Fishing The San Juan River
If you haven't ever fly fished the quality waters on the San Juan River in New Mexico, you are missing out. Trout are everywhere, and its difficult not to hook a few.
Hotspot Midge Fly
Tying these midges is no easy matter. The material list is small, just two color threads and some flashabou, but they are so small, that I have trouble with my not so good eyes to tie them.
I lost a monster
I lost a MONSTER trout on the San Juan River
If you haven't ever fly fished the quality waters on the San Juan River in New Mexico, you are missing out. Trout are everywhere, and its difficult not t...

What's the first letter in name of this site?
Yes, this is a trick question and easy to answer - it's g!
We ask it because spam bots are too stupid to answer correctly, while humans are not.
