Gotcha! Bonefish Fly
The Gotcha! bonefish fly is very popular and effective for fishing bonefish in the flats. It looks a lot like a shrimp swimming in the water when fished properly.
Bad Bass Crawdad
I created this fly to mimic a skirted jig. When I conventional fish for bass, one of my favorite and most productive techniques is flipping heavy cover with a skirted jig for bass.
Disco Midge Pupa
The disco midge pupa is an easy and effective pupa pattern. The flashabou wrap shines in the water really well and is very visible to feeding trout.
Anvil Atlas Fly Tying Vise
The Anvil Atlas vise, made by wolff industries, is a great vice for the money! Its a full rotary vise with some really nice features. All stainless steel construction, and smooth operation.
Lefty's Deceiver
Very popular and effective fly pattern. This is a great fly for saltwater applications, but also can be used for larger freshwater fish like bass, salmon, or pike.
Triple Surgeon's Knot
The triple surgeons knot is probably one of the easiest knots to connect your tippet to your leader. Its also quite strong. While not quite 100%, it will do the trick.
Simple Black Ant
In the late spring and early summer, terrestrial fishing can be phenomenal. The wind will blow ants, grasshoppers and beetles into the water, and the fish start looking for these tasty snacks.
Solarez UV Curing Resin Review
UV Curing resins are the way of the future for fly tying epoxy. They are much quicker and easier to use.
Duncan Loop/Grinner Knot
The duncan loop (also called grinner knot) is a great knot for attaching flies or fishing lures to your monofilament or fluorocarbon line when you want more movement.
Wooly Bugger - Grizzly Bead Head
From California, to New York, to England, the wooly bugger is probably one of the most effective and popular streamer patterns that can be used for a large range of fish species.
How to tie a blood knot
The blood knot is one of the most commonly used and effective knots to tie two pieces of line together. Mostly used by fly fishermen when they are attaching tippet to their tapered leader.
Black Glistening Crab/Shrimp
With underwater movement footage.
Crabs and shrimp are very important food sources for many saltwater fish species. Among the most popular of these species are the drum family. Red drum (commonly k...
Clouser Minnow Sexy Shad
The clouser minnow is one of the most widely used and effective streamer patterns for both salt and fresh water fly fishing.
CDC Dry Fly Midge
Tied on size 26 hook!
The CDC Dry Fly Midge is a perfect imitation for a midge hatch. These tiny flies are fairly easy to tie if you have good eyes, and do really well tandem behind a Griffith's g...
Copper John
The Copper John is a very heavy fly that is great for getting down deep to the fish. I use this as my first fly in a tandem rig often to get my small midge down deep.
WD 40
The WD-40 Is a very proven pattern for fishing streams and rivers for trout. It can be used as a BWO Baetis emerger or even a very effective searching pattern.
Princess Larva
Sometimes you want a very flashy and easy to see midge larva. In that case, this is the pattern for you! I always keep a few of these in my box when going to the river.
Griffith's Gnat
Midge hatches can be some of the most productive dry fly fishing experiences. The midges sometimes will cluster together, and the trout will go for these clusters because its a larger meal.
Simple Midge Larva
A very easy trout nymph midge fly. Midge larvae are probably the most important food source for trout.
Midge Ribbed Annelid
Super easy! Annelids and midge larvae are probably the most important food source for trout. They are always in the water, and there are times of the year that the fish will feed exclusively on these...
Mc Fry Glass Candy
A small transparent baitfish pattern. The Mc Fry Glass Candy is a variation of my Mc Fry Glass Minnow in which I epoxy up the hook shank a bit more. I also use a few different materials as well.
First time rod building, beginner guide
I haven't ever built a fly rod before, and this turned out pretty good. I thought I would give it a try. Let me know what you guys think.
Transparent Small Fry
This pattern is one I tie to mimic small fry. Occasionally fish will be feeding exclusively on these small fish. When they do that, you need to get a good fry imitation out there.
Cone Head Marabou Deceiver
The cone head marabou deceiver is a lot like my other video on the square tail marabou deceiver, however this has a weighted cone head to make it sink and have a jigging action.
