Black & Red Pike Popper
Surface or topwater fishing for predatory fish is probably the most adrenaline-fuelled kinds of fly fishing. Whether it's giant trevally, sailfish or tuna in salt water, or if you practice the freshwater fishing for pike, bass or musky, the take is always what makes the heart stop or skip a beat.

Caddisfly larva KŁÓDKA
A very popular imitation of the so-called "padlock". That is caddis larvae. Fly in larger sizes works well when fishing for barbel and trout, but chubs, graylings and other species will not be disdained. The larva has many color varieties and it is worth having different colors and different sizes in the box.

Finding Water
Episode 4 - Spring time fly fishing can present some serious challenges. With many lakes still frozen, and rivers running chocolate, just finding a productive place to fish can sometimes be difficult. But the fish have been awaiting the warmer temp of Spring as well, so if we'll make the effort to get outside there can be a wealth of experiences and many memories to make.

Poly Yarn Dun
The Poly Yarn Dun is a simple, yet effective imitation of an adult mayfly. Faux Bucktail for the tail, dubbing for the body, a hackle over the thorax and poly yarn for the wing. A simple fly that can be tied with simple materials. The hackle can be both a cock hackle or a hen hackle. You don’t have to use the expensive, genetic capes. Cheap, Indian necks will do as well.

LDO Parachute Dun
When it comes to imitating mayflies on the surface, few flies are better than parachutes. They are fast and relatively easy to tie, they float very well and they offer a good profile, similar to the natural, upright insect. Cut off the wing and the fly will pass as an emerger. Large Dark Olive (LDO) has two generations, one in the spring and one in the early autumn.
