Sep 3. 2022 HKA Sunray (Bismó) Here we will be tying the Bismó tubefly. The Bismó is as I understand it a variation of the Sunray Shadow fly. It requires advanced tying skills for it and a needle to hold the tube. Video 9 months 4 hours
Aug 28. 2022 Jig’ish Sandeel Up-side down flies can be super effective and especially for imitations of sandeels they can be a big hit. Sandeels use the tactic of fleeing from predatory fish by escaping into the sandy bottom and hide, this can be exploited by tying flies that turn upside-down and let them rest on the bottom and start with a jerk, this often triggers a hard take from the awaiting predator. Aug 25. 2022 EP Baitfish Enrico Puglisi created the material known as EP fiber which is the base for tying this fly along with many other patterns similar to this. Now there are many materials on the market that can mimic the EP fiber, including what I used for this fly. Congo hair is one that I tend to like a lot.
