Originated by: Frank Congdon
Source: Streamer Fly Tying and Fishing: Bates Pg. 253
Hook: Sealey & Sons unknown #5
Thread: Black
Tail: Red floss
Body: Silver flat tinsel
Ribbing: Silver oval tinsel
Belly: A small bunch of white bucktail over 4-5 peacock herls
Underwing: A small bunch of yellow bucktail
Wing: 4 grizzly hackles
Head: Black
Notes: The pattern was designed by Mr. frank Congdon from Middletown, Connecticut and was named for his wife. The yellow bucktail in the underwing was sometimes substituted with 2 golden pheasant crests, so the bucktail is also kept sparse. The pattern was given to the Weber Tackle Co.

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.

I like this fly a lot Bob. The fact it has grizzly is a huge plus for me. You did a great job on this one.

I like that pattern, I'd also like to see it with the Golden Pheasant crest in place of the yellow bucktail. Nice tie Bob!
