Ava's Hi-Vis Parachute Adams
Ava's Hi-Vis Parachute Adams is one of the most versatile mayfly dry fly patterns that I fish. I am using an AFF D103BL hook (down-eye, 1X-Long, dry fly hook). Check them out at www.allenflyfishing.com.
The super hair body creates a translucent abdomen and with great segmentation. The McFlyLon post allows the fly to be seen in most fishing conditions. I use Dark Barred Ginger rooster cape hackle, I really like the color of the hackle and it elevates the need to use brown/grizzly hackle. The parachute style can resemble an emerging, dun and or spinner mayfly. I have used this pattern on many different types of mayfly hatches and have had success. So bust out your materials and get tying.

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
