Hook: Gaelic Supreme Mike Martinek Rangeley Streamer hook 10xl #1
Thread: Black 8/0
Body: Dark blue flat tinsel
Belly: White bucktail
Throat: Red then black schlappen
Underwing: Pearl or peacock crystal flash
Under-shoulder: Red then black schlappen
Wing: 4 kingfisher blue hackles
Shoulder: Green jungle fowl feather
Eyes: Jungle cock nail
Head: Black
Notes: Like a mystic azure sapphire, Bill's Deep Blue hypnotizes the casual onlooker. The fly should fair well on overcast days and in the spring time when the darkened rainbow smelts begin to congregate near river inflows to prepare for spawning. The little splash of red in a nice touch on the blue lure, giving hungry fish the motivation the need to strike out and take the 'bait'.

Since you got this far …
… I have a small favor to ask.
Long story short
Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
